Description

Our client, a respected firm in Toronto, is seeking a Condominium Lawyer with 7+ years of experience to join its growing real estate and condominium development practice. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with strong developer-side experience in condominium law, including condominium development, project structuring, disclosure documentation, phased developments, shared facilities arrangements, land use coordination, purchase and sale documentation, and general advisory work related to condominium projects.

The successful candidate will advise developers, builders, landowners, investors, and commercial stakeholders on transactional, operational, and strategic legal matters related to condominium development and related real estate projects. This role is well suited to a lawyer who is confident managing sophisticated files, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering practical, business-focused legal advice in a fast-paced private practice environment.

Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on a broad range of condominium law matters with a focus on developer-side work, including condominium structuring, project development, disclosure requirements, phased developments, and shared facilities arrangements
  • Draft, review, and negotiate condominium development documents, including disclosure statements, purchase and sale documentation, reciprocal agreements, easement agreements, development-related agreements, and related transactional materials
  • Provide strategic legal advice on project structuring, registration matters, land use coordination, risk management, governance considerations, and developer-side compliance requirements
  • Support clients with mixed-use developments, residential condominium projects, development timelines, closing-related issues, and ongoing project legal needs
  • Manage files from opening through closing, including timelines, client communication, legal drafting, negotiation strategy, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with developers, planners, consultants, lenders, municipal stakeholders, and other legal professionals on complex condominium development matters
Qualifications
  • Called to the Bar in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 7 years of experience practicing in condominium law, real estate law, or related development law matters
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience with condominium development documents, disclosure materials, purchase and sale documentation, and related real estate agreements
  • Experience advising developers on condominium project structuring, registration, phased development matters, shared facilities issues, and general developer-side condominium legal work
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and client management skills
