Description

Our client, a well-established firm in Fort Lauderdale, is seeking a Real Estate Lawyer with 6+ years of experience to join its active real estate law practice. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with strong experience in commercial real estate, residential real estate, acquisitions and dispositions, financing transactions, refinancing, leasing, title review, and general real estate advisory work.

The successful candidate will advise a broad range of developers, lenders, investors, business owners, landlords, tenants, and private clients on real estate matters across the full lifecycle of a transaction. This role is well suited to a lawyer who is confident managing files independently, maintaining client relationships, handling complex closings, and delivering practical legal advice in a fast-paced private practice environment.

Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on a broad range of real estate law matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, refinancing, leasing, and title-related issues
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements of purchase and sale, commercial leases, financing documents, easements, and ancillary closing documents
  • Manage commercial and residential real estate transactions from initial instruction through closing and post-closing follow-up
  • Conduct and review due diligence, title searches, off-title inquiries, surveys, and related transaction investigations
  • Provide legal advice to developers, lenders, investors, landlords, tenants, and business clients on transaction structure, risk, and closing requirements
  • Maintain file carriage, client communication, deadlines, and coordination with lenders, opposing counsel, brokers, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process
Qualifications
  • Called to the Bar in Florida and in good standing with the applicable law society or bar association
  • Minimum 6 years of experience practicing in real estate law
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience with purchase agreements, leases, financing documents, and closing materials
  • Experience handling commercial and residential real estate transactions, including title review and transaction management
  • Excellent client service, communication, and file management skills
